The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed

In case you have been running into this error lately than you might want to have a look at this solution provided by Per Hassle in the EPiServer forum.

1. In your Active Directory Server select the administrativ tools menu
2. Active Directory Domains and Trusts
3. Select properties on the domain
4. Remove the inactive trusted domains
